It is often said that the kitchen is the heart of the home...

That could not be truer in our family and extended family. I vividly remember the activity, the laughter, and the constant cooking in our kitchen. My mother, Midi, had such a passion for cooking and made everything look so easy and taste so good. It generated daily family conversation that was the foundation of our family meals. My sister Ellen, and brothers Doug and Gogo have a wonderful passion for cooking as well. My dad, Jimmy, just liked to eat. Let's not forget about our loving Mary. She taught us all so much about cooking and flavor.

The sharing that surrounded food did not end at home. My mother and her three sisters SadieBell, Bernice, and Louise, often took me shopping to the grocery store. It was a guaranteed adventure every outing. We would laugh, talk, and shop. This was part bonding and part learning experience. Whether I understood it or not, I was receiving  fantastic culinary guidance as well as life lessons, along with a gentle reminder that food is love, food is sharing. Back in the kitchen, we would all take part in the preparations and create mouth-watering delights for the whole family.  One of my favorite memories was seeing these four sisters sitting around the kitchen table laughing loudly while discussing recipes and food we should try.  They also loved to bake and there was always delicious cakes and cookies around.

Over the past three decades I’ve cooked professionally and for family and friends based on a true passion for food, flavor and its presentation. I genuinely enjoy my artistic and culinary expression through inspired and customized menus.  Food is universal. Food has the power to bring people together and enjoy a memorable dining experience. Cooking is one of my ways of sharing love, my way of sharing a passion for delicious fine dining. My niche is comfort food infused with a global twist in your private setting. Ranging from my Japanese sukiyaki to my 10,000 layer deconstructed lasagna to grilled-to-perfection surf and turf and my southern comfort foods, my food gallery is expansive and always growing. My culinary philosophy revolves around authenticity, creativity, and originality. And always with love and passion. You can taste the difference. I work closely with my clients to create a memorable experience, leaving clients and their guests craving the next Chef GreenBean dining experience.

Let me focus on the food while you make the moment, part of your memories.
